Together with Birthing Mama® founder Corinne Andrews, Amy Wright Glenn crafted curriculum for an exceptional Birthing Mama® Prenatal Yoga and Wellness online Birth Professionals Workshop.
This workshop is designed to support birth professionals in integrating the benefits of prenatal yoga practice and wellness wisdom into their current work. In particular, doulas, midwives, and childbirth educators will find the information presented to be extremely useful in their work with expectant mothers. While yoga teachers are warmly welcome to participate, one doesn’t need to be a yoga teacher to register.
The Birthing Mama® online program serves as the curriculum for the workshop and is very comprehensive. The online program covers six components of Prenatal Yoga and Wellness from weeks 14-42. The components are: prenatal yoga videos, developmental benchmarks, nutritional guidance, inspiring articles, self-care suggestions, and creative/mindfulness activities.
As a Birthing Mama® Prenatal Yoga and Wellness Teacher Trainer, CD(DONA) birth doula, and prenatal yoga teacher with over a decade of teaching experience, Amy brings a great deal of skill to the task of supporting each participant in integrating knowledge learned into her own specific context.
This workshop consists of 7.5-hours of recorded online instruction skillfully guiding participants through the online Birthing Mama® program.
Participants must also purchase unlimited, lifetime access to the Birthing Mama® curriculum. This purchase is based upon a donation — and all donation amounts are welcome. (The suggested donation for this curriculum is $75.)
Participants will be given the option of earning a 15-hour Certificate of Completion or a 30-hour Certificate of Completion depending upon their choice of two homework options presented in the workshop.
*Members of the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath, and Death receive a 50% tuition discount bringing the cost of the tuition to $50. Scholarships are available for birth/yoga workers serving at-risk/marginalized communities.
*Yoga Alliance registered yoga teachers will receive 20-hours of non-contact CEUS through Yoga Alliance for completing the full workshop.
Amy’s Birthing Mama® workshop is rich with information and knowledge to consider and explore, time to reflect, meditate and write and I truly appreciated each week, if you can’t be there live, the recording is excellent. Truly grateful for her and the work she is doing! ~Clarissa Farrell, birth doula
Birthing Mama has been a delight to take part in. I imagine that the yoga movement, sharing of prenatal support and wisdom, and the personal aspect of the course which allows for exploration of creativity and philosophy to bloom will benefit the prenatal clients I have. Amy Wright Glenn brings knowledge and compassion to the table every module and Corrine’s in depth sharing of the weeks through pregnancy will continue to live on in my work. So grateful! ~Amy Lee Czadeck, NYS Licensed Massage Therapist, To The Moon and Back Prenatal Massage
